Exchange syncing from iPhone 2.0

For those having trouble getting their iPhone with 2.0 software to
sync with exchange, here is a tip. E-mail your companies self signed
security certificate to your iPhone. When you open the email, click
the attachment and install the certificate. Then go through the
exchange email account setup again and you should be good to go. Took
me forever to figure this out, and thought I might could save someone
else some time.

Linux: Kernel 2.16.24-17 and Virtualbox

Well, I suppose this is as good a place to start as any with my updated postings. I tried to start Virtualbox this morning for the first time since last week and got an error about the module for my kernel not being installed. At first I thought something randomly broke but upon further inspection I realized this was because I recently updated to kernel 2.16.24-17. I edited my /boot/menu.lst to boot by default to the previous kernel and everything is back to good now. This was my own fault for having proposed repositories enabled. I kinda just passively agree to whatever updates Ubuntu proposes and didn't realize at first I had accepted a kernel update. So, consider yourself advised if you find yourself in the same situation.

Revival!

I received the first comment for this blog tonight. Much has changed in the way of what tech I use since last posting wayyy back in November 2007. I'm now using Ubuntu Hardy Heron on a day-to-day basis, and would like to begin a series of posts "translating" some of the helpful how-to's I've dug up from around the web.

Windows: What's the Big Deal with Crysis?

I've played many games. Most have been good, some have been great, and a few have been terrible. Crysis isn't terrible. It is however, overrated. Here's my gripe. I just finished Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. BEAUTIFUL game! Ran well on my MacBook Pro under XP, had a great story line, etc etc. Now, take Crysis. I just installed it the other day and ran it for the first time. No, I can't run it at full graphics settings, but even at medium it looks like crap. My point is, how can COD4 look so good, run beautifully, and Crysis looks like shit? Some might argue it's the expansive free roaming element of Crysis but I don't know. The game's not all that.
